The CMS experiment at the CERN LHC has released one of the most precise measurements of the Higgs boson interaction with other fundamental particles. The measurement was led by the Florence CMS group, consisting of personnel from the INFN and from the Department of Physics and Astronomy. Roberto Seidita, PhD student of the Department, was the corresponding author. This analysis focuses on the production of a Higgs boson in proton-proton collisions and decaying to W bosons, the
weak nuclear force carriers. This is a precision measurement of the Higgs mechanism, which is ultimately responsible for the mass of all elementary particles.
